Rome has a typical mediterranean climate which characterizes the coast of Italy. The climate is pleasant from April to June and from mid September to October. In August the average temperature is 24,5ºc traditionally, many businesses close during August, but not all the Romans leave the city because in the Summer time is when they get more tourists. Winter is cold and the average temperature in January is 8,5 degrees celsius.
